BJP alleges Congress pursues anti-Hindu Agenda
New Delhi
The BJP on Friday accused the Congress party of targeting saints, soldiers, Sanatan Dharma, and the Constitution over the past 17 years. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said Congress followed a plan to insult Hindus for vote bank politics.
Patra made these remarks during a press conference at the BJP headquarters, following the court’s acquittal of all seven accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case. He said the court’s judgment proved that the “saffron terror” narrative was false and created by Congress to harm Hindu identity.
He directly blamed the Gandhi family for leading this campaign. Patra mentioned that the term “saffron terror” was used to wrongly link Hindus to terrorism, but the truth has now come out.
He also cited former ATS officer Mehboob Mujawar, who claimed he was pressured by senior officers to arrest RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, even though Bhagwat was never named in any report. Mujawar refused, was punished with false cases, and later won in court.
Patra called this a case of Congress using government power for revenge politics. He referred to a past speech by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where Modi said a senior Congress leader told American officials that “Hindu terror” was worse than SIMI. Patra hinted that the leader was from the Gandhi family.
He also attacked Congress leaders like Prithviraj Chavan and Sushil Kumar Shinde for their past remarks linking Hinduism to terrorism. Patra said Shinde later admitted he spoke under pressure from the party’s top leadership.
The BJP believes the recent court decision has exposed Congress’s false claims and cleared Hindu identity of false blame.
