750 chosen for Kailash Manasarovar Yatra 2025

A total of 750 pilgrims have been selected for the 2025 Kailash Manasarovar Yatra through a computerized draw organized by the Ministry of External Affairs. Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, conducted the draw, which saw 5,561 applicants this year—4,024 men and 1,537 women.
The selected pilgrims will travel in 15 batches of 50 each: five batches via the Lipulekh route and ten via the Nathu La route. Both routes are now fully motorable with minimal trekking required. The selection process was fair, gender-balanced, and randomly computer-generated.
Selected candidates are being informed via SMS and email, and can also check their status on the official Yatra website (https://kmy.gov.in) or by calling the helpline number: 011-23088133.
In his remarks, Kirti Vardhan Singh emphasized the government’s efforts to improve access, ensure transparency, and prioritize the safety and well-being of all participants. He encouraged the Yatris to approach the sacred journey with mindfulness, responsibility, and respect for the environment.
