Welcome 3 faces delays amid payment crisis

Akshay Kumar’s highly anticipated comedy Welcome To The Jungle (Welcome 3) has run into serious production trouble due to unresolved financial issues. According to media reports, the film’s shoot has been stalled since August 2023, despite being officially announced in September of the same year to mark Akshay’s 56th birthday.

The film, directed by Ahmed Khan, began filming in December 2023 but has made little progress in nearly 10 months. Several scheduled shoots have been canceled, and sources indicate that actors and crew members have not yet received their payments. The lack of clarity has led to confusion and delays, with some cast members reportedly walking away from the project.

Despite these setbacks, many actors continue to support the film out of loyalty to the Welcome franchise. They are said to be adjusting their schedules in hopes that the project will resume once the financial disputes are resolved. A report also suggests that Akshay Kumar holds an 80% stake in the film, while the remaining 20% is shared among producer Firoz Nadiadwala and others. Nadiadwala has not yet made any public comments on the issue.

Welcome To The Jungle was originally slated for a grand theatrical release on December 20, 2024. The film features a massive ensemble cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, and more. As of now, the future of the film remains uncertain, with fans hoping production resumes soon.
