Warner Bros, Bhanushali, JOAT announce 5-film deal

Warner Bros. Pictures, Bhanushali Studios Limited (BSL), and JOAT Films have joined hands in an exclusive five-film deal to create Indian versions of some of Warner Bros.’ most iconic movies. This collaboration aims to blend classic global stories with Indian culture and emotions, making them relatable for local audiences while keeping their original appeal intact. Warner Bros. Pictures will lead the global distribution, showcasing the partnership's international ambitions.

Denzil Dias, Vice President and Managing Director of Warner Bros. Pictures India, called India one of the most vibrant and sophisticated film markets, praising Indian audiences for their love of strong, authentic stories. He said the alliance would mix Warner Bros.’ storytelling legacy with Indian talent to deliver powerful films with global reach.

Vinod Bhanushali, founder of BSL, highlighted the creative opportunity to retell these stories through an Indian perspective, combining emotions, scale, and culture for both Indian and global viewers.

Jack Nguyen of JOAT Films also expressed enthusiasm, stating that they would carefully select titles from Warner Bros.’ vast library to suit Indian tastes and sensibilities.

Together, the three companies aim to bring beloved stories to life in a fresh and meaningful way, offering a cinematic experience that feels both familiar and new for audiences across the world.
