Shanmuga Priyan, director of the upcoming romantic comedy Love Marriage, starring Vikram Prabhu and Sushmitha Bhat, shared that the film’s shoot wrapped up well ahead of schedule. Initially planned for 40 days, the team managed to finish in just 31 days, thanks to the cooperation of the cast and crew.

Filmed in Gobichettypalayam, Love Marriage features an ensemble cast, which could have posed scheduling challenges. However, Priyan praised the dedication of his actors, particularly Vikram Prabhu, whose down-to-earth attitude and patience on set helped speed up production. He never retreated to his caravan between shots. Instead, he stayed on set, ready for his scenes, making the process much smoother, Priyan noted.

The film follows the humorous twists that arise when a 33-year-old groom finally decides to marry and his family arranges a match for him. Priyan emphasized that the film not only tackles the concept of late marriage but also explores the dynamics between the two families involved.

Marking Priyan’s directorial debut, Love Marriage features music by Sean Roldan and cinematography by Madhan Christopher. Produced by Rise East Entertainment in collaboration with Assure Films, the film is set for a summer release, following the success of Star.
