‘Veera Dheera Sooran 2’ paves way for trilogy
Veera Dheera Sooran 2, starring Chiyaan Vikram, hit theatres on March 27, causing a stir despite some confusion over the cancellation of morning shows. While the initial delay caused a bit of uncertainty, the evening screenings saw enthusiastic fans filling the theatres, leading to positive reviews and a strong start at the box office.
Director Arun Kumar's decision to release the second installment before the first has sparked curiosity, deviating from the typical trend of sequels following their predecessors. This strategy has raised expectations for the film.
In an interview with Galatta, Arun Kumar confirmed that the Veera Dheera Sooran saga could expand into a trilogy if Part 2 succeeds. The story centers around Vikram’s character, Kaali, who embarks on a high-octane mission to eliminate his enemies in a single night. This sets the stage for a prequel and a sequel, with Part 3 expected to delve into the consequences of Kaali's actions.
Vikram's powerful performance is supported by Dushara Vijayan, SJ Suryah, and Suraj Venjaramoodu. The film’s cinematography by Theni Eshwar and music by GV Prakash Kumar add to its appeal. With a strong start, the film grossed over Rs 50 crore in just five days, marking it as a box-office hit.
