Tovino Thomas supports Producers' call for anti-drug affidavits from actors

Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas has supported the Producers' Association's decision to ask actors for affidavits promising not to use drugs during film shoots. Tovino said he fully agrees with the move and believes drugs should not be used anywhere, especially at shooting locations.
I will definitely accept it. Shouldn’t we all? No one should be using drugs, whether it's on set or elsewhere, he said, showing his support for the industry’s anti-drug stance.
The Producers' Association recently announced this step as part of efforts to maintain discipline and ensure a safe work environment in the film industry. the rule will come into effect on June 26, which is observed as the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The day, started by the United Nations in 1989, aims to raise awareness about the dangers of drug use and promote a drug-free society.
Tovino’s response comes amid rising concerns over drug abuse in the entertainment world. By backing the affidavit plan, he joins others in the Malayalam film industry working towards creating a healthier, more responsible workplace.
