Teaser out for Taman Akshan’s horror thriller

Horror movie fans got a spine-chilling treat on Thursday with the release of the teaser for Jenma Natchathiram, directed by B Manivarman. Starring Taman Akshan and Malvi Malhotra in lead roles, the film offers a fresh take on supernatural horror, packed with suspense and eerie twists.

Though the film shares its name with a classic Tamil horror title, Manivarman clarified that this version features a brand-new story and screenplay. Produced by Subhashini K under Amoham Studios, in association with White Lamp Pictures, the teaser was unveiled on social media with the chilling caption:

It’s here… and it’s watching you. You're just one click away from your next nightmare.

The teaser begins with a cryptic line: Even the most toxic plants require the purest water to thrive. It then hints at a group lured by a mysterious treasure — ₹57 crore hidden in an abandoned mill near Pondicherry. But greed soon turns into horror, as they encounter dark rituals and deadly secrets.

Manivarman said that while the film is original, there’s a subtle nod to the old classic that fans will recognise on screen. The technical team includes K G on cinematography, Sanjay Manickam on music, and Miracle Michael handling the stunts. The cast features popular names like Kali Venkat, Munishkanth, Santhana Bharathi, Thalaivasal Vijay, and Nakalites Niveditha.

With post-production now complete, Jenma Natchathiram is ready for global release, with Romeo Pictures Raahul securing theatrical rights. The film promises an intense horror ride with nostalgic undertones.
