Teaser of Shabana Azmi starrer 'Dabba Cartel' released

The much-awaited teaser for Dabba Cartel, featuring Shabana Azmi, Jyotika, and Sai Tamhankar, has been unveiled. Directed by Hitesh Bhatia, the series tells the gripping story of five middle-class women whose lives take a dramatic turn as they become entangled in drug trafficking.

The all-women cartel faces grave dangers as they rise in the illegal drug business, while the male employees of a pharmaceutical company, Viva Life, come under investigation for connections to an unlawful drug racket. Veteran actor Gajraj Rao also plays a pivotal role in the series.

The teaser, lasting over a minute, showcases Shabana Azmi as a commanding businesswoman driven solely by profit and loss. Meanwhile, Sai Tamhankar portrays a determined cop intensifying her search to unravel the cartel's secrets.

Sharing the teaser on her Instagram, Shabana Azmi invited viewers to dive into this dramatic tale.

Produced by Excel Media and Entertainment under the leadership of Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, the series marks their latest collaboration with Netflix. Speaking about the project, the producers said, “Dabba Cartel is an intense story of five ordinary women who reluctantly create a drug cartel, colliding with a massive pharma scandal. We’re thrilled to share this powerful narrative with Netflix’s global audience.”

Written by Vishal Menon and Bhavna Kher, the series will premiere on Netflix on February 28.
