Tamil star Suriya’s 46th film has been officially announced, ending months of speculation. The first-look poster was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday through social media, introducing Suriya in a stylish avatar—dressed in a brown jacket, grey pants, and loafers, walking with confidence. The poster carries the tagline, And the Celebration Begins…

Tentatively titled Suriya46, the film is being directed by Venky Atluri and produced by Naga Vamsi Suryadevara and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments in association with Fortune Four Cinemas. Shooting began on June 9 in Hyderabad.

The film is described as a heartwarming entertainer that brings back the charm of Suriya’s late-90s boy-next-door look. Mamitha Baiju will star opposite Suriya, while veteran actors Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon will play important roles. Music will be composed by GV Prakash Kumar, and the movie is scheduled for a Summer 2026 release.

Ahead of the film's launch, Suriya, along with the producer and director, visited the Palani Murugan temple to seek blessings. Pictures of the visit quickly went viral, with fans admiring Suriya’s elegant and clean-cut style.

Suriya was last seen in Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj and co-starring Pooja Hegde. Though the film received mixed reviews, it performed well commercially, offering a bounce-back after the underwhelming response to Kanguva. Fans are now eagerly awaiting what Suriya46 has in store.
