Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai recently sparked excitement by teasing a new musical collaboration with Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman. Taking to Instagram, Ghai shared a heartfelt message and a photo with Rahman, hinting at a fresh creative journey. The magic of music happens when souls connect, he wrote, adding that their bond is rooted in mutual respect, love, and a shared passion for excellence. He concluded with a cryptic note: Let’s see what we’re up to now… Only trust the magic.
Ghai and Rahman have previously worked together on acclaimed Bollywood films like Taal, Kisna, and Yuvvraaj. Among them, Taal stands out for its unforgettable music and remains a beloved soundtrack even decades later.
Last year, the duo reunited in Mumbai to mark Taal’s 25th anniversary at a special screening. During the event, Ghai revealed that Rahman had charged only a minimum fee for his iconic work, prompting Rahman to respond with a smile, saying, Let’s not go there.
Meanwhile, Ghai also hinted at his upcoming film. On June 30, he posted a picture of Riteish Deshmukh from the 2006 film Apna Sapna Money Money, where the actor played a character in disguise. Captioning the image, Ghai teased the reveal of the female lead in his next movie under Mukta Arts, asking fans to guess her identity.
While no official project details have been announced, fans are eager to see what musical magic this celebrated filmmaker-composer duo will create next.
