Shruti Haasan exits Adivi Sesh’s ‘Dacoit’ over work conditions

Actress Shruti Haasan has parted ways with the upcoming film "Dacoit," starring Adivi Sesh, citing "uncomfortable work conditions" as the reason for her exit. While earlier reports suggested a scheduling conflict with her other project, Coolie, a close source has dismissed this explanation.

According to the insider, Shruti had initially shot the teaser for "Dacoit" last year, but subsequent shooting dates were frequently delayed. Certain portions of the film had to be re-shot multiple times, causing frustration. Additionally, the actress reportedly found the over-involvement of the co-star in the script and the dual direction on set confusing and unsettling, leading to her discomfort.

Despite being eager to explore a new side of her acting and collaborate with the original director, Shruti could not continue due to these challenges. Her exit was followed by the announcement of Mrunal Thakur joining the cast, with a special teaser and poster unveiling on December 17, which raised questions among fans about Shruti's departure.

"Dacoit: A Love Story," directed by Shaneil Deo, is an action-packed drama featuring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur as estranged lovers caught up in a series of robberies.

Meanwhile, Shruti is busy with her role in Coolie, opposite Rajinikanth, and will soon begin shooting for Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryanga Parvam, starring Prabhas.
