Shehzad Khan reminisces Andaz Apna Apna before re-release

Veteran actor Shehzad Khan, remembered for his role as Bhalla in Andaz Apna Apna, shared fond memories as the film gears up for its re-release on April 25, 2025. He recalled the simplicity of the shoot, noting that even stars like Salman Khan and Aamir Khan didn’t have makeup vans. We used to get ready under umbrellas or in tiny rooms. It felt more like a picnic than work, he said.

One moment that stood out for Shehzad was getting stranded at Coimbatore airport after filming in Ooty. We laughed non-stop. The mood was so light-hearted, he recalled with a smile.

Looking forward to the film’s return to theatres, Shehzad shared his excitement. Honestly, I’m more thrilled now than I was back in 1994. Today’s generation deserves to see what real comedy looks like. He also mentioned his personal bond with Salman Khan, saying their families have been close for many years.

Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film featured a stellar cast including Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, and Shakti Kapoor. Though it didn’t succeed initially at the box office, it has since become a cult favorite.

The re-release, announced by Vinay Pictures, will showcase the film in a newly remastered 4K version with Dolby 5.1 sound, promising a fresh and enhanced viewing experience of this timeless comedy.
