Sharan’s ‘Avatara Purusha 2’ To Release In December?

When director Suni and his team announced that the Sharan-led Avatara Purusha would be a two-part venture, it was reported that they were looking at releasing the two instalments about 100 days apart. So, when the first part came out in May 2022, it was first thought that the next one could be expected sometime in August or September. In the immediate aftermath of the theatrical release, though, Sharan and Suni had an Instagram live, during which the filmmaker said that a more plausible date would be around Dasara in October, as the second part of the film involves a lot of computer graphic work.
Producer Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah refuted the report and said the film was ready, while Suni said that it was only 80% done. However, lead actor Sharan was busy with his home production Guru Shishyaru and thereafter began working on a film with Karva-maker Navneeth. And every query to the team on social media has remained unanswered since then. The latest buzz, today, which comes one year after the release of the first part, is that Avatara Purusha 2 could be looking at a December release. The film, which has the tagline Trishanku, will contain the black magic portions of the narrative as the first part established the players who are after the Trishanku mani.
Avatara Purusha 1, which is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video, pairs Sharan with Ashika Ranganath. Also on the cast are Sudharani, Saikumar, Srinagara Kitty, B Suresha, Balaji Manohar, Ashutosh Rana, Ayyappa Sharma, Vijay Chendoor and Sadhu Kokila, among others.
