Shannon K joins Indian artists at Coachella 2025
Singer-actor Shannon K is set to make a big mark by performing at Coachella 2025, joining fellow Indian-origin stars like Diljit Dosanjh and AP Dhillon. Daughter of legendary playback singer Kumar Sanu, Shannon will become the first Indie Indian-origin artist to represent India at the iconic festival, which will take place from April 11–13 and April 18–20 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The event is expected to draw over 120,000 music lovers.
In a statement, Shannon shared her excitement, saying it's a dream come true for many Indian indie artists striving to share their music globally. “Indian music is rich and diverse, but often underrated. This performance is a huge step forward,” she said.
At Coachella, Shannon will present a unique mix of her indie-pop hits and nostalgic Bollywood classics made famous by her father. Her set will include chart-topping tracks like Give Me Your Hand—which earned her the Best International Singer Award—A Longtime, Always, Run, Retrace, and OMT, a cross-cultural collaboration with Sonu Nigam.
Known for her powerful voice and stage presence, Shannon has steadily built her musical identity worldwide. Her Coachella debut is not just a personal milestone but a proud moment for Indian indie music on the global stage.
