Shanmuga Pandian to return with action-thriller ‘Padai Thalaivan’

Actor-politician Vijayakanth's son Shanmuga Pandian is making a comeback to cinema with his new film 'Padai Thalaivan', following his last project 'Madurai Veeran' in 2018. The film, directed by U Anbu, is slated for a September release.

'Padai Thalaivan' is described as an intense action-thriller set against a forest backdrop. The film features Shanmuga Pandian in the lead role, supported by a cast including director-actor Kasthuri Raja, Yamini Chander (granddaughter of veteran filmmaker AC Tirulokchander), Munishkanth, and Rishi Rithvik.

The film's music is composed by Ilaiyaraaja, with a screenplay and dialogues crafted by director Parthiban Desingu. The technical team includes cinematographer SR Sathish Kumar, editor S Elayaraja, and stunt choreography by Mahesh Mathew. The official release date for 'Padai Thalaivan' has yet to be announced.
