"Sanam Teri Kasam" enjoys a successful re-release
The romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam, featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, has seen a major boost after its re-release in theatres. Originally released in 2016, the film made an impressive comeback on Friday, surpassing its lifetime collection of Rs 9 crore in just two days.
As reported by Sacnilk.com, the film earned Rs 4.25 crore on its first day, which is three times higher than its original opening day earnings. By Saturday, the film's collections increased by 15%, reaching Rs 5 crore. As of now, Sanam Teri Kasam has earned a total of Rs 9.50 crore at the box office.
Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, this film marked the Hindi film debut of Harshvardhan Rane alongside Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane. The storyline revolves around Inder (Harshvardhan), an ex-convict, and Saru (Mawra), a traditional librarian, who fall in love and marry. However, tragedy strikes, altering their lives forever.
The film’s music, composed by Himesh Reshammiya, was a big hit in 2016, contributing to its popularity. The re-release has reignited interest in this emotional love story.
