Samantha Ruth Prabhus Shaakunthalam To Also Release In 3D On This Date

Gunasekhars Samantha Ruth Prabhu starrer Shaakunthalam is finally ready to hit screens.
The epic love story that also stars Dev Mohan as Dushyantha will release on February 17 worldwide, announced the makers. Whats more, the film will also hit screens in 3D, much to the delight of fans. Samantha wrapped up shooting for the film in August 2021 with shooting taking place in a film city in Hyderabad, Ananthagiri Hills and Gandipet Lake. Shaakunthalam will see Allu Arha debut as Prince Bharata, Mohan Babu as Durvasa Maharishi, Aditi Balan as Anasuya, Ananya Nagalla as Priyambada, Kabir Duhan Singh as Asura and others in key roles. The film is based on Kalidasas 4 th century play Shakuntala which tells the story of a princess. Shaakunthalam was supposed to release on November 4, 2022 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada apart from Hindi but release was postponed due to 3D conversion.
Samantha will also soon be seen in Shiva Nirvanas Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda as her co-star.
