Sai Abhyankkar to compose music for Simbu's STR49

Silambarasan, also known as Simbu, recently welcomed the talented young music composer Sai Abhyankkar to his 49th film, directed by Ramkumar Balakrishnan. Sai, who gained popularity for his viral hit Katchi Sera, is quickly making a name for himself in the music industry. At just 20 years old, he is already working on major projects, including music for Suriya's 45th film, Pradeep Ranganathan's next, and Allu Arjun's highly anticipated AA22XA6, directed by Atlee.

The film, currently referred to as STR49, is being produced by the renowned Dawn Pictures. On the occasion of Tamil New Year, Simbu took to his social media to share the exciting news, saying, Starting this new chapter with music and fresh energy. Welcoming SaiAbhyankkar on board! STR49.

The project was officially announced on Simbu’s birthday, February 3, 2025, with a poster that showcased Simbu as The Most Wanted Student. The intriguing poster features him holding a textbook titled Engineering Materials and Metallurgy with a knife inside, adding an element of suspense and drama.

Sai’s impressive rise in the music industry has caught the attention of filmmakers, and his work on STR49 is highly anticipated. As he continues to take on high-profile projects, Sai Abhyankkar is poised to become a key figure in Tamil cinema's musical landscape.
