Rathna Kumar calls 'Tourist Family' Sasikumar's best film

Director and writer Rathna Kumar, known for his work on hits like Meyaadha Maan and for scripting Vikram, has praised the upcoming Tamil film Tourist Family, directed by Abishan Jeevinth. Rathna Kumar, who had the chance to watch the film in advance, shared his thoughts on X, calling it a classy film with a lot of heart. He added that the film is full of moments that make audiences laugh out loud and others that are emotionally touching. He went on to state, For me, this is Sasikumar’s best performance as an actor. I was blown away by the post-interval sequence. It’s brilliantly written, and I’m sure the theater will erupt for it.

Rathna Kumar also mentioned how every character in the film stood out, from the small child to the elderly couple and even a small dog, all of whom became his favorites. He went on to compliment the young director, saying, A stunning debut by 24-year-old Abishan Jeevinth. He has already made a mark.

The film, set to release on May 1, stars Sasikumar and Simran, along with an ensemble cast including Yogi Babu, Mithun Jayashankar, and M.S. Bhaskar. The feel-good family entertainer features music by Shaan Rahman, cinematography by Aravind Viswanathan, and editing by Bharath Vikraman. Produced by Million Dollar Studios and MRP Entertainment, Tourist Family promises to be a film to remember.
