To celebrate 10 years since its release, the makers of Baahubali are set to re-release the film as a remastered version titled Baahubali: The Epic, combining both Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017). The grand re-release is scheduled for October 31, 2025, and has sparked curiosity, especially around its rumored runtime of 5 hours and 27 minutes. If true, it would make it one of the longest Indian theatrical releases ever.

At a recent event in Hyderabad, Rana Daggubati, who played the iconic antagonist Bhallaladeva, was asked about the film’s much-talked-about runtime. Responding with a smile, he said, Only Rajamouli knows. He won’t reveal anything until it’s final, staying true to director SS Rajamouli’s famously secretive style.

Baahubali, set in the fictional kingdom of Mahishmati, follows the epic saga of power, betrayal, and sacrifice. The franchise stars Prabhas in a dual role, with Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan, and Nassar in key roles. The first film follows Sivudu’s quest to save Queen Devasena, while the second explores the past, revealing palace politics and the betrayal that led to Baahubali’s death—answering the iconic question: Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?

With its mythological undertones and massive box office success, the franchise has earned over ₹2,400 crore globally, becoming India’s highest-grossing film series. Fans are now eagerly waiting for this extended cinematic journey to return to the big screen.
