Producer Bunny Vas confirms Jr. NTR didn’t dub Chhaava teaser
Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama Chhaava is set to release in Telugu on March 7, 2025. Producer Bunny Vas confirmed that Jr. NTR was never considered for dubbing the film’s teaser, dismissing recent speculation. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film narrates the story of Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
The Telugu distribution rights have been acquired by Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts, with Bunny Vas overseeing the release. A teaser for the Telugu version dropped on March 3, creating excitement among fans. Chhaava, originally released in Hindi on February 14, has already grossed over ₹417 crore in just 11 days and is expected to cross ₹500 crore globally.
The film features an impressive cast, with Vicky Kaushal in the lead role as Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika Mandanna portrays Yesubai Bhonsale. Akshaye Khanna takes on the role of Aurangzeb, with Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum and Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite.
With Rashmika Mandanna’s strong fan base in Telugu cinema, Chhaava is expected to perform well in the South. The film has been widely praised for its gripping narrative, grand visuals, and stellar performances, making its Telugu release highly anticipated.
