The much-anticipated rural action drama, 'Peddha Kapu 1,' has been creating quite a stir in recent times, and a significant reason for this buzz undoubtedly lies in the film's title, which bears the name of a prominent caste in the twin Telugu states. However, it's important to note that the film's protagonist, newcomer Virat Karrna, is adamant that 'Peddha Kapu' does not revolve around casteism.

In a recent interview, Virat clarified that the movie's core theme is not caste-related but rather centers on the rise of an ordinary man within a village. He elaborated, explaining that the film tells the story of a young individual's fight against oppression in a rural setting, transcending caste boundaries.

Virat shared that 'Peddha Kapu 1' is set in the 1990s in a village near Rajahmundry, offering a nostalgic backdrop for the narrative. To prepare for his role, the debutant actor immersed himself in a Godavari village, engaging with the locals to deeply understand the character he portrays.

Alongside Virat Karrna, the film features Pragathi Srivastava as the leading lady. Scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on September 29, this Sreekanth Addala directorial is produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy, known for 'Akhanda,' under the banner of Dwaraka Creations. As the release date approaches, 'Peddha Kapu 1' promises to be an engaging rural drama that explores the broader themes of resilience, empowerment, and social dynamics while not losing sight of its rustic roots.
