Mohan Babu accused in Soundarya’s death; complaint filed

Veteran actor Mohan Babu is facing serious allegations nearly 22 years after actress Soundarya’s tragic death in a 2004 plane crash. A complaint filed in Andhra Pradesh claims her death was linked to a property dispute and accuses Mohan Babu of murder.

According to reports, the complainant, Chittimallu, alleges that Soundarya and her brother refused to sell six acres of land in Jalpalli village, Shamshabad, leading to a conflict with Mohan Babu. After her death, he allegedly took control of the land. The complaint urges the government to seize the land for public welfare, benefiting orphanages, military families, police personnel, and journalists. It also calls for an investigation into Babu’s alleged land grab.

The controversy deepens as the complaint references internal family disputes, including Mohan Babu’s legal issues with his younger son, Manchu Manoj. Chittimallu also demands the seizure of a six-acre guesthouse in Jalpalli and claims to be facing threats over this legal battle, requesting police protection.

Soundarya, a beloved South Indian actress, died in a private aircraft crash on April 17, 2004, while traveling for a BJP campaign. The crash also claimed the life of her brother, Amarnath. Reports later suggested she was pregnant at the time, intensifying the tragedy. The film industry continues to mourn her loss. Meanwhile, Mohan Babu has yet to respond to the allegations.
