Mission: Impossible slows, crosses ₹100cr in India
Tom Cruise’s action-packed Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning may be slowing down at the Indian box office, but it has still achieved a major milestone by crossing ₹100 crore in just 16 days.
On Day 18 (Tuesday), the film saw its lowest earnings so far, dipping below ₹1 crore in daily collections. However, its total gross in India has reached ₹106 crore, with net earnings standing at around ₹92.29 crore.
The movie opened strong, earning ₹54.4 crore in its first week, followed by ₹26.75 crore in the second. In its third week, it has added roughly ₹11.14 crore so far.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, this latest installment continues to draw Indian audiences thanks to Tom Cruise’s star power and the franchise’s loyal fanbase. The goal now is to beat the ₹131 crore mark set by Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and become the highest-grossing film in the series in India.
This is only the second Tom Cruise film to cross ₹100 crore in the country, underlining his growing appeal among Indian viewers.
However, with new movies releasing soon and earnings slowing down, it remains uncertain if The Final Reckoning can surpass its predecessor.
Globally, the film has made $353 million so far but needs $1 billion to break even, given its massive $400 million budget.
In India, fans remain hopeful the film can push further and set new records before its theatrical run ends.
