Mikey Madison, Kirsten Dunst lead thriller 'Reptilia'

Mikey Madison, known for her Oscar-winning role in Anora, will star alongside Kirsten Dunst in a new thriller titled Reptilia. The film will be directed by Alejandro Landes Echavarria, who gained acclaim for his 2019 movie Monos.

Reptilia tells the eerie story of a dental hygienist who gets drawn into the mysterious and dangerous world of Florida’s exotic animal trade after being lured by a strange mermaid. The story blends mystery, fantasy, and suspense in a dark, emotional journey.

The script is co-written by Echavarria and Duke Merriman. The film will be produced by Imperative Entertainment, Pastel, and AF Films, along with Echavarria’s own company, A Stela Cine.

Madison’s performance in Anora, released last year, brought her major recognition, including an Academy Award for Best Actress. Meanwhile, Dunst was last seen in Civil War (2024), a dystopian drama directed by Alex Garland.

Reptilia promises an intense and unique storyline with two strong leads and a visionary director at the helm.
