Mahesh Babu faces legal notice over real estate endorsement
Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu is facing legal trouble linked to a real estate company he once endorsed. A Hyderabad-based doctor has filed a complaint against him and Sai Surya Developers, accusing the company of fraud involving Rs 34.8 lakh. The complaint says the doctor bought plots that did not exist and claims Mahesh Babu’s promotion helped convince buyers to trust the firm.
The case was filed with the Ranga Reddy District Consumer Commission in Telangana, naming Mahesh Babu as the third respondent. The complaint alleges that his endorsement misled people into investing in the company’s projects. However, the actor has not yet made any official statement or comment about the legal notice.
This is not the first time Mahesh Babu has been connected to Sai Surya Developers. In April 2025, the Enforcement Directorate questioned him during a money laundering investigation involving the same real estate firm and the Surana Group. The owner of Sai Surya Developers, Kancharla Satish Chandra Gupta, is under police investigation for defaulting on a major project called Green Meadows.
At that time, reports suggested Mahesh Babu was not accused and might have been unaware of any wrongdoing. It is believed he endorsed the company in good faith.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is busy working on his upcoming film ‘SSMB29,’ directed by SS Rajamouli, with stars Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran also part of the cast.
