Karthi teams up with Tamizh for ‘Marshal’
Actor Karthi’s next big project has officially begun. Titled Marshal, the film marks his first collaboration with director Tamizh, who is known for the critically praised movie Taanakaaran. The launch was marked by a traditional pooja ceremony, and filming has now started.
Production house Dream Warrior Pictures shared the news on social media, revealing the title and confirming the start of the shoot. They wrote, “With blessings and big dreams, #Marshal begins!”
The film stars Kalyani Priyadarshan as the female lead, alongside a strong supporting cast including Sathyaraj, Prabhu, Lal, John Kokken, Easwari Rao, and Murali Sharma. Karthi also expressed his excitement on X, writing, “Taking a new step forward with all your love and blessings!”
On the technical side, Marshal features music by rising composer Sai Abhyankkar and cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan. Editing is being handled by Philomin Raj, while Arun Venjaramoodu is in charge of production design.
Marshal is produced by S R Prakash Babu and S R Prabhu under Dream Warrior Pictures, with Ishan Saksena as co-producer. Earlier this year, the team had shared a poster featuring a ship, hinting at an adventurous storyline.
Director Tamizh, also known for acting in Jai Bhim, gained attention with his directorial debut Taanakaaran.
Karthi recently completed shooting for Sardar 2, a much-awaited spy thriller.
