In a significant achievement for Indian cinema, the musical film Band of Maharajas, directed by Girish Malik, has made its way into the Oscar race. The film is competing in two prestigious categories: Best Original Song for the track Ishq Walla Daku and Best Original Score, composed by renowned music artist Bickram Ghosh.

Band of Maharajas tells the inspiring story of three young musicians from a village near the India-Pakistan border. These fearless individuals follow their musical dreams despite opposition from radical factions, capturing their bravery and the unifying power of music.

In the midst of this, Kangana also announced the release date of her upcoming film Emergency, a biographical thriller on former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, set to release on January 17, 2025.
