Jennifer Lopez returns in ‘Office Romance’

Jennifer Lopez is back to doing what she does best—romantic comedies. Her new film Office Romance is currently being filmed in New Jersey and marks her big return to the genre that helped make her a global star.

Lopez stars alongside Emmy-winner Brett Goldstein, best known for Ted Lasso. The two are not just acting together—Goldstein co-wrote the script with Joe Kelly. The film is directed by Ol Parker, the man behind Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. The supporting cast includes Betty Gilpin and Edward James Olmos, who played Lopez’s father in the 1997 hit Selena. In this film, he plays a father figure once again, adding a nostalgic touch.

Set in a workplace, Office Romance explores a scandalous love story full of drama and humor. Though the full plot is under wraps, it hints at a relationship that could stir trouble in any HR department. Goldstein joked that working with Lopez feels like a prank, showing his excitement.

This film comes during a big personal change for Lopez, following her split from Ben Affleck. Now, she’s focusing on her work and creativity. While the release date isn’t confirmed, fans can expect Office Romance on Netflix in 2025.
