Housefull 5, starring Akshay Kumar, has officially become the actor’s seventh highest-grossing film at the Indian box office, surpassing the lifetime earnings of OMG 2. The film has collected ₹150.39 crore net in just nine days, with a gross domestic total of ₹177.46 crore. After opening with an impressive ₹24.35 crore on Day 1, the film maintained momentum through the first weekend. However, midweek collections dipped slightly, prompting concerns about its sustainability. Despite mixed reviews, Housefull 5 saw a strong second Saturday rebound, collecting ₹10.21 crore—a 54.69% increase from Friday’s ₹6.60 crore.

The comedy entertainer earned ₹133.58 crore during its opening week. While expectations were sky-high due to the franchise’s popularity, this figure was considered slightly underwhelming. Yet, the film’s continued hold during the second weekend signals a positive trend for its long-term box office performance.

Here’s the day-wise breakdown: Day 1 – ₹24.35 cr, Day 2 – ₹32.38 cr, Day 3 – ₹35.10 cr, Day 4 – ₹13.15 cr, Day 5 – ₹11.70 cr, Day 6 – ₹9.40 cr, Day 7 – ₹7.50 cr, Day 8 – ₹6.60 cr, Day 9 – ₹10.21 cr. With its current total, Housefull 5 has overtaken OMG 2 and is poised to surpass Kesari (₹153 crore) soon, claiming the sixth spot in Akshay Kumar’s top 10 highest-grossing films. His top three films remain Housefull 4 (₹206 crore), Good Newwz (₹201.14 crore), and Mission Mangal (₹200.16 crore).
