Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, actor Harshvardhan Rane has announced that he will not be part of Sanam Teri Kasam 2 if the original cast is retained. The first film, which was recently re-released in theatres, received a strong audience response. However, Rane has chosen to step away from the sequel due to the involvement of Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane, who starred alongside him in the original.

Taking to Instagram Stories on Saturday, Rane wrote, While I’m thankful for the experience, given the current situation and comments made about my country, I’ve decided to respectfully decline being a part of Sanam Teri Kasam 2 if the same cast returns.

His statement comes after fans of Hocane began visiting his social media profiles, following political escalations between the two nations.

In a separate update, Rane recently fulfilled a personal dream by adding a custom-made Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 to his bike collection. Sharing a video of the moment, he said, This beauty has been a work in progress, and I couldn’t stop myself from coming to see how amazing it looks.

The aluminium-bodied bike has a sleek, tech-inspired look, reminiscent of a MacBook Air. It features a 648 cc air-cooled engine, a 13.8-liter fuel tank, and a minimalist bobber design with a single seat and short rear fender. Weighing 240 kg, it’s one of the heaviest Royal Enfield bikes, just slightly lighter than the Super Meteor 650.
