Gigi Hadid thanks fans for respecting Khai’s privacy

Supermodel Gigi Hadid has shared her appreciation for the public’s continued support in respecting the privacy of her daughter, Khai, whom she shares with singer Zayn Malik. The couple has long chosen not to show their daughter’s face on social media.

In a recent Instagram post, Gigi shared photos of four-year-old Khai riding a bike and tracing letters, carefully keeping her face hidden. One fan commented, “Even without showing her face, we can feel how loved and special Khai is.” Gigi warmly replied, “This means a lot :).”

Hadid first spoke about this privacy decision in 2021 through an Instagram Story, where she asked fans and media outlets not to photograph Khai’s face. She explained that they wanted Khai to grow up without the pressure of public attention and decide for herself how she shares her image with the world.

She specifically urged photographers in New York City to blur Khai’s face in public images. “I know it’s an extra effort, but as a new mom, I just want the best for my baby,” she said at the time.

While Gigi maintains a low profile for her daughter online, she occasionally shares stories about motherhood. On The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon earlier this month, she laughed about a family outing to Medieval Times in New Jersey, saying Khai loved the chicken served there.

Gigi continues to raise Khai with love and care, focusing on giving her daughter a normal and joyful childhood away from public scrutiny.
