Geethu Mohandas to direct Toxic in English, Kannada
After the massive success of KGF and KGF 2, Yash is set to make a grand return to the silver screen with Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Geethu Mohandas, the gangster drama has already sparked global curiosity.
The film features an impressive cast, including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, and Tara Sutaria. Its production is ambitious, being filmed simultaneously in English and Kannada, with plans to dub it in multiple Indian and international languages. This multilingual approach aims to connect with audiences worldwide but has reportedly increased production costs by 40 percent.
Despite these challenges, the creators remain determined to deliver a high-quality cinematic experience that showcases Indian cinema internationally.
To enhance its global appeal, the production team has brought in international experts, including JJ Perry, known for his work on blockbuster films like Iron Man, Fast and Furious, and John Wick. Perry is said to have choreographed and shot intense action sequences for the film.
Although other international contributors are involved, their names have yet to be revealed.
The recently released first look of Toxic has garnered positive reactions, further building anticipation for what promises to be a remarkable cinematic journey.
