Emraan Hashmi recalls affair with married woman, caught

Before marrying Parveen Shahani, Emraan Hashmi once confessed to being involved with a married woman, a story as dramatic as his films. In a 2005 interview, Emraan revealed that he had unknowingly entered into a relationship with a woman who was already married. By the time he learned the truth, emotions had taken over, and despite feeling guilty, he continued the affair.

Speaking candidly, Emraan said, when in a relationship, logic goes for a toss. He admitted that he often questioned his actions, wondering how he would have reacted if the roles were reversed. Despite his inner conflict, the relationship carried on until the two were caught red-handed by the woman’s husband. A heated confrontation followed, but thanks to intervention from mutual friends, the situation was defused before turning violent.

This incident shocked many fans who admired Emraan for his on-screen charm but didn’t expect such a real-life twist.

Now in 2025, Emraan Hashmi has returned to the big screen with Ground Zero, released on April 25. The film, inspired by true events, stars Emraan as BSF Deputy Commandant Narendra Nath Dubey. Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, the movie also features Sai Tamhankar, Zoya Hussain, and Mukesh Tiwari, marking another powerful chapter in Emraan’s evolving career.
