Ed Sheeran, Arijit Singh unite for new album
In a thrilling surprise for music lovers, English pop star Ed Sheeran has confirmed that he is collaborating with Indian singing icon Arijit Singh for his upcoming album. The news was revealed during a recent interview with Heart, where Sheeran spoke fondly about working with Arijit.
He shared, I worked a lot with this Indian singer Arijit Singh. He’s really talented and wonderful. He lives in a remote part of India—it took a three-hour flight and a five-and-a-half-hour drive to reach him. I was in India with my dad, and Arijit told me if I wanted his vocals, I’d have to come to him.
Sheeran’s respect for Arijit’s craft is clear, and the two artists have developed a strong bond. During Ed Sheeran’s Mathematics tour in India, he even took a ride on Arijit’s two-wheeler in his hometown of Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal.
Their friendship started to blossom after they performed together in London in September 2024, where both artists sang each other’s hit songs. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting to hear more from this exciting musical duo.
With two of the world’s most loved singers coming together, the collaboration has already created a buzz online, and fans can’t wait to experience the magic they’ll bring through this album.
