Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, hit theatres today but has received mostly negative reactions from early viewers. The film, which aimed to blend romance with caste politics, has been described as “boring” and lacking impact.

Many viewers compared it unfavourably to Dhadak 1. “The story has no direction, and the chemistry is just okay,” said one moviegoer. Another added, “It’s dragged, the dialogues are weak, and the music is forgettable.”

The film’s casting also drew criticism. “Siddhant and Triptii look mismatched. There’s no chemistry at all,” a viewer said, questioning the believability of Siddhant playing a slum boy.

Fans of Pariyerum Perumal, the Tamil original, were especially disappointed. “They ruined a powerful story. The climax was completely spoiled,” said one audience member.

Some felt the movie started well but became heavy and confusing by the end. Others pointed out the direction by Shazia Iqbal didn’t match the impact of Shashank Khaitan’s work in the original.

While a few appreciated the actors’ efforts and the film’s social message, the overall verdict suggests Dhadak 2 has failed to meet expectations and has left audiences underwhelmed.
