Darshan visits Mysuru farmhouse after bail
Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, accused in the high-profile Renukaswamy murder case, visited his Mysuru farmhouse after securing bail. The court allowed the actor to travel and reside at the property until January 5, 2025, easing prior restrictions.
Darshan, arrested on June 11 along with 15 others for the murder of 33-year-old Renukaswamy, had been released on interim bail in October on medical grounds. His permanent bail was secured last week, permitting him to return home.
On Friday, Darshan reached the farmhouse on T Narasipura Road, about 25 kilometers from Mysuru city. Accompanied by a relative, he was greeted by family and friends, including his mother, Meena Thoogudeepa. The property is owned by his wife, Vijayalakshmi.
To ensure privacy, the farmhouse entrance was shielded, and security arrangements were tightened. The Karnataka High Court permitted his temporary stay, stating, “The accused No. 2 is permitted to travel to Mysuru and to stay there for a period from 20.12.2024 to 05.01.2025.”
Darshan’s arrest and the ongoing investigation have captured public and media attention. The case remains under scrutiny, with calls for a CBI probe by Renukaswamy’s family.
A close family friend remarked, “Darshan has been through a lot and is seeking some peace at home. The support of his loved ones means everything.”
The actor’s movements continue to be closely monitored as the legal proceedings unfold.
