Boyapati Sreenu, Balakrishna reunite for ‘Akhanda 2’

Tollywood’s mass director Boyapati Sreenu is set to deliver another high-voltage action entertainer, reuniting with Nandamuri Balakrishna for the fourth time. After scoring blockbusters with Simha, Legend, and Akhanda, the duo is now working on Akhanda 2, the sequel to the 2021 hit.

The film’s shoot began on a grand scale at the Maha Kumbh, making it an instant sensation. Taking the visual spectacle a step further, the team is now scouting locations in the Himalayas, where crucial scenes featuring Balakrishna will be shot in the upcoming schedules.

Akhanda 2 features Aadhi Pinisetty as the antagonist, while Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead. Several pan-India actors are also expected to join the cast in key roles.

Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, the film has music composed by Thaman. Balakrishna’s daughter, Tejaswini Nandamuri, is presenting the film. The much-anticipated sequel is set for a grand worldwide release on September 25.
