Bhuvanam Gaganam: Double Love Treat This Valentine’s Day
S Shyam Prasad
This Valentine’s Day, Kannada cinema brings a heartfelt treat with Bhuvanam Gaganam, a romantic drama starring Pramod, Pruthvi Ambaar, Rachel David, and Ponnu Ashwathi. Directed by Gireesh Mulimani, the film weaves together two distinct love stories that merge in an emotionally charged climax.
The recently released trailer, unveiled in the presence of Kannada stars like Darling Krishna and Ninasam Satish, teases the film’s emotional depth. Pramod, who plays Abhi, expressed his excitement, personally inviting friends to watch the film, convinced of its strong emotional appeal.
The title Bhuvanam Gaganam, meaning Earth and Sky, reflects the film’s central theme—two parallel love stories that contrast yet connect. Abhi’s urban romance with Nandini (Rachel David) unfolds with intensity, while Raam (Pruthvi Ambaar) finds love with Bhoomi (Ponnu Ashwathi) in the serene countryside of Kalasa. Their paths dramatically intertwine in Kanyakumari.
Director Mulimani highlights the contrast between the two protagonists—Abhi, fiery and intense, and Raam, warm yet neglected. This duality forms the heart of the film’s exploration of love. Bhuvanam Gaganam is already generating buzz, receiving an enthusiastic response at its Dubai premiere. The film also features a strong supporting cast, including Achyuth Kumar, Sharath Lohithashwa, and Sparsha Rekha.
