Be confidently and unapologetically yourself – Jonita Gandhi
Playback singer Jonita Gandhi recently opened up about her latest release, Beparwai, a track that celebrates being carefree and true to oneself. In a chat with IANS, Jonita shared that the song reflects a moment of self-expression where she chose to rise above others’ opinions and embrace her individuality.
She revealed, Beparwai was created during a session in Toronto. That day, I felt a little cynical about how we often worry too much about what others think. I wanted to break free from that and just be myself. That’s where the chorus—‘Now I’m just carefree’—comes from.
Jonita made sure the track retained her signature soft, melodic style. I sang it in a tone that feels very me, she said. She collaborated with her frequent producer, Ariza, to shape the song’s sound and keep it consistent with her other music. The production is fully electronic, without any live instruments, giving the song a modern, upbeat vibe.
Describing the track as bouncy, fun, and full of attitude, Jonita explained that Beparwai is not just a dance number but also a statement of self-confidence. It’s a reminder to everyone that it’s okay to be unapologetically yourself. Don’t get lost in the noise—do what makes you happy, she added.
Beparwai is now available for streaming on all major platforms.
