‘Badi Haveli’ cast plants trees for Environment Day
On World Environment Day, the lead cast of Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain took part in a special tree plantation drive to promote a greener planet. The initiative saw Diksha Dhami (Chaina), Sheel Verma (Jaiveer), and Ishita Ganguly (Chamkili) planting saplings around their show’s set.
Actress Ishita Ganguly shared her thoughts on the occasion, saying, For me, Environment Day isn’t just one day—it’s about the small choices we make daily. She added that planting saplings made her feel more connected to nature. Nature brings me peace. Whether it's the sound of leaves or the smell of rain-soaked soil, it always reminds me of what’s truly important.
Ishita also shared some of her eco-friendly habits, like carrying a reusable water bottle, avoiding plastic, and planting at least one tree every year. These small actions may seem simple, but they matter when done with purpose, she said.
Talking about her love for nature, Ishita added, We often search for magic in big things, but Earth itself is magical. It heals us in quiet, powerful ways. If we don’t protect it now, we may lose its beauty forever.
She ended with a heartfelt message: Let’s not wait for change. Let’s be the change. I want to keep walking barefoot on grass, watching butterflies, and breathing clean air. Happy Environment Day!
