AR Rahman, Sam Altman discuss AI for India
Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman recently met OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in San Francisco to discuss innovative collaborations involving artificial intelligence. Altman, a key figure in the AI revolution, hosted Rahman to explore ideas centered around Secret Mountain, Rahman’s virtual global music band. The two also discussed how AI tools can be used to support and uplift Indian creators while addressing long-standing generational challenges.
Rahman shared a photo from the meeting on Instagram, writing, It was a pleasure to meet sama at his office... we discussed 'Secret Mountain', our virtual global band, and ways to empower Indian minds to use AI for solving generational challenges and moving ahead with innovation.
The legendary musician is currently touring as part of his Wonderment Tour. After a recent performance in Takoma City, Washington, his next show is scheduled in Oakland. He will then take the tour to Hyderabad on November 8, performing at Ramoji Film City.
Speaking about the upcoming Hyderabad concert, Rahman said in a press statement, Hyderabad has always given me an incredible musical connection. This show is for those who truly appreciate the magic of live performances. Through ‘The AR Rahman Live in Concert’, I want to express that each note and rhythm tells a story. My aim is to blend tradition with technology and celebrate music that bridges the past and the future.
On the film front, Rahman is also composing the music for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, and Ravie Dubey.
