Angelina Jolie’s Couture set for European Film Market
Angelina Jolie’s fashion drama Couture is set to debut at the European Film Market (EFM) following the completion of its production in Paris.
The film follows three women navigating the chaos of Paris Fashion Week while dealing with personal and global struggles. Jolie stars as Maxine Walker, an American film director, alongside South Sudanese model Ada (played by Anyier Anei in her film debut) and French makeup artist Angele (Ella Rumpf). Their intertwined stories explore the emotional and physical scars women carry. Louis Garrel also features in the film.
UTA Independent Film Group, which helped secure funding, is managing global and North American rights, while HanWay Films represents international distribution. Pathe, previously associated with director Alice Winocour’s Revoir Paris, will handle the film’s release in France.
Produced by Jolie, Charles Gillibert (Bergman Island), Zhang Xin (History of Sound), and William Horberg (Milk), Couture also lists Bob Xu as an executive producer. The film is co-produced with France 3 Cinema and has received financial backing from La Region Ile-de-France, Canal+, Cine+, OCS, France Televisions, and Chanel.
With its compelling narrative set in the high-fashion world, Couture is expected to generate significant interest at EFM.
