Andor Season 2 trailer: Diego Luna embarks on mission

The trailer for Andor Season 2, the prequel to Star Wars, has been released. The series will premiere on Disney+ on April 22.

Along with the trailer, Disney+ unveiled an extended preview of the upcoming season. Rogue One star Diego Luna returns as Cassian Andor, preparing for a mission against the Empire. In the trailer, he declares, Empire cannot win, and the video ends with the words, Welcome to the rebellion.

According to Deadline, the second season of this Emmy-nominated series delves deeper into character relationships as war looms and Cassian becomes crucial to the Rebel Alliance. The stakes rise, leading to betrayals, sacrifices, and conflicting agendas.

A prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Andor explores Cassian’s journey from an apathetic survivor to a committed rebel hero. The series rewinds five years before Rogue One, showing his evolution into a key figure in the resistance against the Empire.

Andor Season 2 consists of 12 episodes, divided into four chapters of three episodes each, released weekly.

Alongside Luna, the cast includes Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O'Reilly, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu, Elizabeth Dulau, Alan Tudyk, with Ben Mendelsohn and Forest Whitaker.
