Actor Ali Fazal opened up about playing Guddu Bhaiya in the hit web series Mirzapur and shared some interesting details about his character and experience on set. Known for his roles in Fukrey, 3 Idiots, and Happy Bhag Jayegi, Ali said transforming into Guddu Bhaiya was challenging because the character was very different from himself.

He studied the local people and their language carefully to get the right pronunciation and mannerisms. Ali credited writer Puneet Krishna for helping create the world of Mirzapur and said the global recognition of the character was overwhelming, especially when fans approached him even in New York.

When asked about using ‘gaalis’ (abusive words) on the show, Ali revealed that he didn’t use any in Season 2. “Season 1 had enough of that,” he said with a laugh, explaining that for him, the environment made it easier to deliver those lines.

Ali also shared a memorable moment from his first day on the Mirzapur set. Feeling nervous and insecure during a classroom scene, he subconsciously changed his walk and posture to look tougher. That moment shaped the confident and intimidating vibe of Guddu Bhaiya.

Fans continue to appreciate Ali Fazal’s deep commitment to bringing Guddu Bhaiya to life with authenticity and strength.
