Abhishek Banerjee’s crime thriller 'Stolen' releases soon
The release date for the crime thriller Stolen, starring Abhishek Banerjee, Harish Khanna, Mia Maelzer, Sahidur Rahaman, and Shubham, has been announced. The film will premiere on June 4 on the OTT platform Prime Video.
Produced by Jungle Book Studios, Stolen is directed by Karan Tejpal and produced by Gaurav Dhingra, with executive producers Anurag Kashyap, Kiran Rao, Nikkhil Advani, and Vikramaditya Motwane. The story follows two urban brothers who witness a baby being kidnapped from a poor mother at a rural railway station in India. Driven by moral responsibility, they decide to help the mother and begin a dangerous search to find the child.
The screenplay is written by Karan Tejpal, Gaurav Dhingra, and Swapnil Salkar-Agadbumb. Executive producer Anurag Kashyap praised the film for its raw emotion and fearless storytelling, calling it a strong and gripping cinematic experience. Kiran Rao appreciated the film's balance of thrilling tension and deep humanity, especially highlighting the character Jhumpa’s strength and resilience.
Nikkhil Advani said the film challenges conventions and sparks meaningful conversations, while Vikramaditya Motwane admired its sharp, purposeful narrative. Producer Gaurav Dhingra described Stolen as an emotionally intense thriller that explores justice, trauma, and human endurance.
Prime Video India’s Manish Menghani added that the film is more than just entertainment—it is a powerful reflection of society. Fans can look forward to watching this gripping thriller worldwide starting June 4.
