A disturbing case of domestic and sexual abuse has emerged from Bengaluru’s Banashankari area, where a woman has lodged a detailed complaint against her husband and in-laws, alleging extreme cruelty, harassment, and exploitation.

The woman accused her husband, Yunus Pasha, of forcing her into sexual acts with politicians and associates. She further claimed he attempted to divorce her six times and compelled her to undergo multiple abortions without her consent. The FIR also names Yunus’s parents—Chind Pasha and Faheen Taj—accusing them of dowry harassment, issuing death threats, and forcing abortions.

The couple married on June 25, 2021. According to the complaint, the harassment began four months into the marriage. On December 17, 2021, while the complainant was pregnant, Yunus allegedly kicked her in the stomach, leading to a forced abortion. He reportedly held a gun to her head, threatened to kill her, and assaulted her multiple times, including a severe beating in 2023.

The woman also stated that her father-in-law would make inappropriate advances. Due to ongoing threats, she had been staying at her maternal home for the past two months. On June 4, 2025, when she returned to collect her belongings, Yunus allegedly threatened to kill her and her mother. Police at Banashankari station have filed an FIR under sections related to sexual assault, domestic violence, dowry harassment, and criminal intimidation. The woman has demanded strict legal action against the accused.
