Will strive for development after taking note of opposition leaders’ criticism: DK Suresh
Bengaluru
Opposition parties often criticise to earn respect, and their feedback is taken seriously. Congress leader and former MP D.K. Suresh emphasised that all criticism, ideas, and suggestions are considered in the effort to build a better and more beautiful city.
During a discussion at the Bangalore Urban Development and Master Planning seminar, D.K. Suresh clarified, "We have not undertaken any land acquisition processes. The initiatives were continuation of projects started earlier by Kumaraswamy. It was decided during his government that suburban areas should be developed as per his vision." He addressed concerns regarding the Bidadi township project.
Responding to opposition leader R. Ashoka’s remarks, Suresh said, "Ashoka is entitled to all information. If not, I will provide it. If I talk about cattle rearing, it would mean discussing issues in Attur." He also pointed out, "We are continuing with Kumaraswamy’s decisions. My personal view, and that of our party, is that farmers should not face difficulties. We aim to coordinate with the government and work on behalf of farmers, especially after winning the upcoming elections."
Suresh added that a cabinet sub-committee had considered about 90% of the opinions and that elections would be conducted based on trust. He mentioned that delays in adding new areas would be avoided, and the current process would continue as it is. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar had previously expressed similar views regarding the Greater Bengaluru development.
Regarding farmers in the region, Suresh assured, "The Deputy Chief Minister will ensure justice for farmers. It is our responsibility. Based on the support for the cooperative president, elections, and votes, we will determine who supports JD(S), BJP, or Congress."
Suresh filed his nomination as a candidate for the Chairman position of the Bangalore Cooperative Milk Union (BAMUL) at Kanakapura, indicating his interest in the KMF Milk Union leadership.
