Weekend parking relief for Cubbon Park visitors, traffic police designate new zone

In a welcome move for weekend visitors to Cubbon Park, the Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced a dedicated parking facility to ease congestion and improve traffic flow in the area.

The new arrangement aims to address the recurring issue of vehicles being parked haphazardly on surrounding roads, which has been causing significant traffic disruptions, especially during weekends.

Until now, the lack of organized parking near the popular park led many visitors to leave their vehicles on adjacent roads, inconveniencing both pedestrians and motorists. In response, the traffic police have designated a parking zone next to the old KGID building exclusively for Cubbon Park visitors.

This new facility will be available every Sunday and on Saturdays when the Karnataka High Court is not in session. Officials stated that this move will ensure smoother traffic movement while also providing convenience to the growing number of park-goers. The traffic department has urged the public to make use of the newly assigned parking space and avoid leaving vehicles along the roadsides.

Additional personnel will be deployed to manage the area and guide visitors. This decision has been appreciated by regular visitors and morning walkers, who have often faced difficulty accessing the park due to traffic and parking issues. The traffic police plan to monitor the effectiveness of this initiative and make improvements if necessary.
